a4 = 35 and a8=13we know that an = 1a+(n-1)dso a4 =1a+3d= 35 and a8 = 1a+7d=13so 3a+9d = 5 -------(1)and a+7d = 3-------(2)(1) - (2)×3; we get3a + 9d -3a - 21d = 5-9-12d = -4 d=13 (put in 1)3a + 9×13=5 3a = 5-3a = 23now a6 = 1a+5d=123+5×13=173=37
