Question

1) The densityof a liquid is 600g/cm³ . Express it in kg/ m³?

2) Calculate the density of a solid from the following data -

a) mass of solid =72g

b) Initial volume of water in measuring cylinder = 24ml.

Solution

1)Since 1 g/(cm^3) is equal to 1000 kilogram/cubic meter.
600g/cm^3=600*1000kg/m^3
=600000kg/m^3

2)Since Density - Mass/Volume
or M/V
Here mass M=72g
Volume { since you only mentioned initial volume , not mentioned final volume, to find actual volume find the difference ie,final volume-initial volume}
Then find density= 72/difference in volume That will be the answer
