Solution

Prophase:

  1. Prophase is the stage in which a cell starts with it mitosis.
  2. The nuclear membrane disappears exposing the chromosomes for the cell to divide with the genetic material.

Telophase:

  1. The telophase is the stage where the separation of the genetic material is complete.
  2. The two new nuclei are formed after division.
  3. The nucleolus that was dissolved before again reappears in the telophase stage.

Anaphase:

  1. The separation of the sister chromatids of a chromosome takes place during anaphase.
  2. The centromere breaks the chromosome into two sister chromatids and they are pulled towards the two poles by the spindle fibres.

S-phase:

  1. The S-phase is the synthesis phase, which is part of the interphase stage of the cell cycle.
  2. The replication of DNA and the other cell organelles take place during the S-phase to prepare the cell for division.
