Dwarf planet: A dwarf planet is a planetary mass object that is neither a true planet nor a natural satellite. That is, it is in direct orbit of a star, S is massively enough for its gravity to compress it into a hydrostatically equilibrious shape, but has not cleared the neighbourhood of other material around its orbit.

Solar system: The solar system is the gravitationally bound system of the sun & the objects that orbit it, either directly or indirectly. Of the objects that orbit the sun directly, the largest are the eight planets, with the remaining being small objects, such as the five dwarf planets & small solar system bodies.
