(1. and 2.) The Indian national flag has Ashok Chakra in the center. It is a 'Dharma Chakra' that was used by King Ashoka on many of his edicts. It has twenty four spokes that stand for the twenty four 'Dharma rishis' mentioned in the Puranas. It also signifies the twenty four hours of a day. The 'chakra' stands for continuous movement and progress.
