1) Light travels faster than sound.
Ex:- during lightning & thunder, lightning reach earth first. then only thunder comes. So light is faster than sound.

2) A solar eclipse occurs when the moon gets between Earth and the sun, and the moon casts a shadow over Earth. A solar eclipse can only take place at the phase of new moon, when the moon passes directly between the sun and Earth and its shadows fall upon Earth's surface.

3) eclipse of the Sun (or solar eclipse)can only occur at New Moon when theMoon passes between Earth and Sun. If the Moon's shadow happens to fall upon Earth's surface at that time, we see some portion of the Sun's disk covered or 'eclipsed' by theMoon.S
