1)why cattles need to be protected from rain?

2)why cattles should remain dry?

Open in App
Solution

1) Cattle should be protected from rain and winds because protection from wind and rain will decrease energy requirements and feed costs and increase animal comfort. Three sided sheds, hills, thickets of trees and solid or semisolid fences can all serve as adequate breaks from the prevailing winds. Proper sheltering will reduce the cold condition thus reducing the cattle to keep its body warmer, which require much energy. So you can reduce the additional feeding cost thus increasing the profitability.

2) Dear student the question is not clear. I couldn't understand the meaning of "dry" since it has two meaning in this context. One is free from moisture or liquid; not wet or moist and the other meaning of "dry" related to cattle is the period during the lactation cycle when the cow is not lactating, i.e. the period between the end of one lactation andthe beginning of the next.

However I'm supposed to answer one question at atime, you may ask this question seperatly in next section with more clarity. I had answered your first question clearly. Kindly mark this section as satisfied.
