Solution

The correct option is B 9.6025 g
Half cell reactions :
Anode: 2H2O4H++O2+4e
Cathode: Cu2++2eCu
(a) Mass loss at anode = mass of O2 formed
=E.i.t96500=32×0.01×965004×96500=0.08g
Also mass loss at Cathode = mass of Cu formed
=E.i.t96500=63.5×0.01×965002×96500=0.3175g
Mass of resulting solution = Initial mass mass loss as O2 mass loss as Cu
=100.080.3175=9.6025g
