Solution

The reactions involved may be given as:
Cr2O27+6I+14H+2Cr3++3I2+7H2O
3[I2+2Na2S2O3]3[2NaI+Na2S4O6]
1 mole K2Cr2O76 moles of Na2S2O3....(i)
No. of moles of hypo =MassM.w.(158)=E×N×V1000×158
=158×1/20×151000×158
=7.5×104mole
No. of moles of K2Cr2O7=16 [No. of moles of Na2S2O3]
=1.25×104mole
Mass of K2Cr2O7 in 10 mL solution =1.25×104×294
=0.03675 g
Weight of K2Cr2O7 in 10 mL solution =3.675 g/L.
