Solution:-

Given weight of $NaOH=2g$

Equivalent weight of $NaOH=40g$

Therefore,

Gram equivalent of $NaOH=\frac{\text{Wt.}}{\text{Eq. wt.}}=\frac{2}{40}=0.05$

As we know that,

Normality $\left(N\right)$ $=\frac{\text{gm eq.}}{\text{vol}\left(\text{in mL}\right)}\times 1000=\frac{0.05}{100}\times 1000=0.5N$
