(b) water

Solution

The following is the description of the experiment:

  1. Take a beaker and fill it with water.
  2. Now mount this beaker on a tripod and heat it using a burner.
  3. As the water heats up, bubbles begin to develop.

Conclusion: The bubbles seen when water begins to heat are air dissolved in water. This occurs because the solubility (ability to dissolve) of oxygen in water diminishes as water is heated.
As a result, air bubbles emerge from the water.
