At constant pressure, heat absorbed by the gas is given by
(ΔQ)=nCPΔT=3×CP×[3530]=15 CP ....(1)
At constant volume, heat absorbed by the gas is given by (ΔU)=nCVΔT=3×CV×[6560]=15 CV ...(2)
From (1) and (2),
ΔQΔU=CPCV=γ
From the data given in the question,
ΔQΔU=1.4
105ΔU=1.4
ΔU=75 cal
Thus, option (b) is the correct answer.
