To find how many children are left out from the teams formed, we need to divide 14 by 4.

If we group 4 children to form a team, there are 144=10 kids left.

If we group 4 kids from the ten, we still have 104=6 kids left.

If we group 4 kids of the six left out, we have 64=2 kids left.

Two kids are not part of any of the teams formed.

That is, we get 2 as the remainder when 14 is divided by 4.
