14,400 bps called V.32 bis.
The Supra FAX modem 14400 was a v.32bis modem. When it was launched by Supra, Inc. in January 1992 at a $399 price point, the 14,400 bit/s model was less expensive than most existing 9600 bit/s models.
In addition to offering this fast transmission over dial-up circuits, V.32 modems often are used for backing up leased telephone circuits. V.32bis modems provide data rates of 14,400 bits per second by transmitting at 2400 baud using a form of TCM that provides 6 data bits per baud.
