Total number of chocolates =16
Number of children =4

Each child would get = total number of chocolatesnumber of children = 164 chocolates.

Solving 164 by repeated subtraction method:
Steps Dividend Divisor Remainder
1 16 4 16 - 4 =12
2 12 4 12 - 4= 8
3 8 4 8 - 4 = 4
4 4 4 4 - 4 = 0

Since, we subtracted 4 times to get the remainder 0, the quoteint is 4 and the remainder is 0 for 16÷4.
