NO. OF MOLES = volume of gas at STP/22.4 (litres)

= 5.6 / 22.4
= 0.25 moles

now,
we also know that -
no. of moles = weight in gram/molecular mass

by above --
0.25 = 16/mole. mass
molecular mass = 16/0.25 = 64

so, now we know that the molecular mass of SO2 gas is 64.

so, the value of X here is 2.

and the gas is SO2 (SULPHUR DIOXIDE)
