Solution

All outcomes are 1,2,3,4.........,17

Number of all possible outcomes = 17

(1) Let E be the event that the number on the drawn card is an odd number.

The favourable outcomes are 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,17

Number of all favourable outcomes = 9

P(getting an odd number ) = 9 over 17

(2) possible outcomes = 17

Favourable outcomes are 5,10,15

Number of favourable outcomes = 3

P(. getting a number divisible by 5) = 3 over 17
