Solution

The correct option is B

A liquid cannot flow easily

  • The space or gap between the particles of matter i.e. solids, liquids, and gases is called interparticle space.
  • In solids the intermolecular space is negligible, in liquids the intermolecular space is more than that of the solid and in gases, the intermolecular space is the largest.
  • Now, the interparticle space in liquid is more than solid so they can be compressed a little.
  • As we know, more will be the interparticle space less will be the interparticle attraction.
  • Therefore, due to less force of attraction, particles of liquid can flow easily. So, Particles of liquid can move from one position to another

Hence the correct answer is option (B).
