Solution

Formula relating specfic heat of an element with its atomic mass according to Dulong and petit's law is Dulong and Petit’s law says that, for a given solid element, molar mass (M) (g/mol) x specific heat (c) (J/g.K) = 25 J/mol. K Molar mass of metal = 25 J/mol. K / specific heat specific heat is given in cal/g we will convert it into J /K 0.06 cal/g/ C = 0.25 J/g/K So, molar atomic mass of given metal = 25 J/mol. K / 0.25 J/g.K = 100 g mol-1
