The reactant that produces a lesser amount of product is the limiting reagent.
2H2+O22H2O
Here 2 moles of H2 require 1 mole of O2.
But if we take 2 moles of O2 & 2 moles of H2. Still only 2 moles of H2O will be produced because of the limited amount of H2
So, H2 is the limiting reagent.
