2(2y + 3) = 3x - 5 ;
-2x = 4y + 6
Consider the above system of equations. Which of the following solutions satisfy the sytem ?

The correct option is B (1,2)
First , we must rearrange the equations in the standard form ax + by + c = 0. Therefore the equations become : 3x - 4y - 11 = 0; ....(i)
2x + 4y + 6 = 0 ... (ii)
Now we use Elimination method and remove one variable to make the equation in one variable.
By adding (i) & (ii),
We get 5x-5 = 0 , Therefore x = 1.
Substitute x= 5 in any of the equations above to get y = -2
The correct option is B
