2. A dealer purchased 250 bulbs for Rs. 10 each. However, 12 bulbs got fused which she had to throw away. She sold the remaining bulbs at Rs. 12 each. Find her gain or loss per cent in the transaction

CP of 1 bulb = Rs 10CP of 250 bulbs = Rs 10×250 = Rs 2500Now, 12 bulbs got fused, thenNumber of bulbs left for selling = 250 - 12 = 238SP of 1 bulb = Rs 12SP of 238 bulbs = Rs238×12 = Rs 2856Since total SP > total CP, so profit ocurrs.Now, profit = Total SP - total CP = 2856 - 2500 = Rs 356Now, profit % = profitCP×100% = 3562500×100% = 14.24%
