Question

2. Cloud results in rainfall. Explain.

Open in App
Solution

  • The air containing water is heated up by the sun and being lighter rises high in the sky.
  • As air rises to high altitude, the water vapor present in the air gets cooled.
  • The cold water vapor condenses to form tiny droplets of water.
  • These tiny droplets of water form clouds in the sky.
  • When these water droplets get too heavy to stay suspended in the cloud, they fall to earth as rainfall.
