Solution

Suppose both the drums contain 100 litres of mixture of water and milk.Since the ratio of milk to water in first drum is 2 : 1, soquantity of milk in first drum = 23 of 100 = 2003 litresquantity of water in first drum = 13 of 100 = 1003 litresSince the ratio of milk to water in first drum is 5 : 2, soquantity of milk in first drum = 57 of 100 = 5007 litresquantity of water in first drum = 27 of 100 = 2007 litresa. Suppose 50 litres of mixture is taken from the first and the second drum.quantity of milk in the mixture taken from first drum = 23 of 50 = 1003 litresquantity of water in the mixture taken from first drum = 13 of 50 = 503 litresquantity of milk in the mixture taken from second drum = 57 of 50 = 2507 litresquantity of water in the mixture taken from second drum = 27 of 50 = 1007 litresquantity of mixture in new drum = 100 litresquantity of milk in new drum = 1003 + 2507 = 700 + 75021 = 145021 litresquantity of water in new drum = 503 + 1007 = 350 + 30021 = 65021 litresratio of milk to water in new drum = 145021 : 65021 = 1450650 = 2913

Similarly you can do the second part.
