Let two numbers be x, y

$\frac{x}{y}=\frac{5}{8}\Rightarrow x=\frac{5}{8}y$

$x+y=19.5$

$\therefore \frac{5}{8}+y=19.5$

$=5y+8y=8\times 19.5$

$=13y=8\times 19.5$

$y=12$

$x=\frac{5}{8}\times 12=7.5$

$\therefore x=7.5$ & y = 12
