Given:

T=273+27=300 K
a=4.17 atm L2 mol2,b=0.0371 L mol1.
R=0.082 atm L mol1 K1
Applying van der Waals equation for n moles
(P+an2V2)(Vnb)=nRT
(P+4.17×2252)(52×0.0371)=2×0.082×300P=2×0.082×3004.920.667
on solving we get :
P=9.33 atm
