Part 1: Classification of materials on the basis of solubility in water

(a). Soluble materials: Soluble materials are those materials which completely dissolve in water and form a homogenous mixture.

(b). Insoluble liquids: Soluble materials are those materials which do not completely dissolve in water even after prolonged stirring.

Part 2: Pairs of soluble and insoluble materials

Three pairs of soluble materials:

(i). Sugar in water

(ii). Glucose in water

(iii). Common salt in water

Three pairs of insoluble materials:

(i). Oil in water

(ii). Sand in water

(iii). Turmeric in water
