  2. The charge on Nitrate ion is - -1
  3. One Calcium (Ca) atom can lose two electrons.
  4. One Nitrate (NO3-) ion can accept +1 charge.
  5. So, one Calcium atom reacts with two Nitrate ions to give out Calcium nitrate.
  6. The chemical formula of Calcium nitrate is Ca(NO3)2.
