Let the cost of an adult ticket $=x$
The cost of an child ticket $=y$
Then form an first equation as,
$x+y=200$ ----- (1)
$2x+4y=500$ ---- (2)
By solving the equation (1) and (2) multiply the equation (1) by 2
$2x+2y=400$
$2x+4y=500$
