Solution

Dear student,
Here is the solution of your asked query:
(i) Here, P=Rs.12000R=6% p.a.T=2 yearsSo, simple interest=P×R×T100=12000×6×2100=Rs. 1440So,total amount after 2 years =Rs.12000+Rs.1440 = Rs.13440(ii) Here, P=Rs.12000R=6% p.a.T=2 yearsso, amount=P1+R100T =120001+61002 =12000×53502 =12000×5350×5350 =13483.2So, the total amount after 2 years=Rs.13483.2Therefore, investement is better in (ii) by Rs.13483.2-Rs.13440 i.e. Rs.43.20
