25 and 40 are divisible by 5 . Check whether 5 is divisible by the sum and difference of the two numbers .

Given , the two numbers are 25 and 40

The sum of two numbers is =25+40=65

and the difference of two numbers is =40-25=15

Now, 5÷65=113

and 5÷15=13

Hence, the given number 5 is not exactly divisible by the sum and difference of the two given numbers 25 and 40 .
