$2x=2+3y$ --------- ( 2 ) [ Given ]

$\therefore$ $x=\frac{2+3y}{2}$ ----- ( 3 )

Now, substituting value of $x$ in equation ( 1 ),

$2\left(\frac{2+3y}{2}\right)+3y=8$

$2+3y+3y=8$

$2+6y=8$

$6y=8-2$

$6y=6$

$\therefore$ $y=1$

Now substituting value of $y=1$ in equation ( 3 ),

$x=\frac{2+3\left(1\right)}{2}$

$x=\frac{5}{2}$

$\therefore$ $x=2.5$

$\therefore$ The values of $x$ and $y$ are $2.5,1$.
