The correct option is B conservation of mass
Weight of CO2=8.8gm
Moles of CO2=8.844=0.2
Moles of C=0.2
Wt. of C=0.2×12=2.4g
Moles of H2O=5.418=0.3
So, moles of H atom =0.3×2
Wt. of hydrogen =0.3×2×1=0.6
Wt. of carbon + hydrogen =2.4+0.6=3= Initial wt. of hydrocarbon
Hence, it illustrates the law of conservation of mass.
