Solution

Predecessor : The predecessor of a natural number is one less than the given number.

Successor : The successor of a natural number is the number obtained by adding 1 to it.

As the predecessor of 3 is 2 and the successor of 3 is 4. (3-1=2and3+1=4)

Similarly, the predecessor of 2 is 1. (2-1=2)

And the successor of 2 is 3. (2+1=3)

Hence, the predecessor of 2 is 1 and the successor of 2 is 3.
