Part 1: Chemical change

The changes which involve a change in the chemical properties of a substance and as a result new substances are formed are called a chemical change.

Part 2: Growth of plant is a chemical change

  • In plants, reaction like photosynthesis takes place which helps the plant to grow.
  • It is the process by which green plants make their food by using Carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) in the presence of sunlight and converting them into carbohydrates and oxygen (O2) gas.
  • As new substances are formed, hence, growth of plants is a chemical change.
