4 a) - FISSION
This process is common in unicellular organisms. It can be further classified as Binary fission and multiple-fission
Binary Fission-
In this process the parent divides in to two daughter cells. The daughter cells then grow to complete organisms.
It is very common in amoeba during favorable conditions.
Multiple-fission-
In this process the unicellular organism splits to number of cells. All the daughter cells then grow to complete organisms. It can be seen in plasmodium.
Amoeba also undergoes multiple-fission during unfavorable conditions. In case of amoeba it takes place in unfavorable conditions. Amoeba develop cyst over it, nucleus undergoes number of divisions and during favorable condition cyst break to release number of offspring.
4b)-
- Leishmania undergoes binary fission. It is the division of one cell into two similar cells.
- Plasmodium undergoes multiple fission. In multiple fission, many individuals are formed from a single individual.
5a)-ATP = which is energy helps in our metabolism
The carbohydrates, proteins and fats are digested in small intestine and are finally broken down into their basic units.
Carbohydrates are finally broken down into monosaccharides (simple sugar).
Proteins are finally broken down into amino acids.
Fats are finally broken down into fatty acids and glycerol.
So the end products after complete digestion of carbohydrates are simple sugars or *monosaccharides*.
The end products after complete digestion of Proteins are *amino acids*
The end products after complete digestion of Fats are-*fatty acids and glycerol*.
