Open in App
Solution

  • The process of conserving rainwater by collecting, storing and purifying that runs off from rooftops, parks, roads, open grounds, etc. for later use is called rain water harvesting.
  • Rain water can be harvested by storing the rain water for direct use.
  • Rainwater gathered on the building's rooftop may be channeled to a filtration tank, from which it goes into the recharge well, via drain pipes.
  • Drain pipes can be used to divert rainfall gathered in open areas to a recharge excavated well via filtration tanks.
