Transportation is concerned with cost and location of target market because production, sale and consumption-all the three activities need not be at one place, due to which transportation of goods has become relevant.

Transport facility is needed for the produced goods to reach the hands of consumers. So the enterprise must have an easy access to means of transportation.

Transportation is concerned with cost as the cost of transport is added to the cost of product too.
