4 tables and 3 chairs, together, cost Rs. 2,250 and 3 tables and 4 chairs cost Rs.1950.Find the cost of 2 chairs and 1 table.

Let the cost of a table = x

Let the cost of a chair = y
ATQ
4x + 3y = 2250....(i)
3x + 4y = 1950.....(ii)
Solving Equation (i) and (ii) , we get
Multiplying equation (i) with 3 and equation (ii) with 4 we get
12x + 9y = 6750
12x +16y = 7800
7y = 1050

y=150
Putting in equation (ii)
3x + 600 = 1950
3x= 1350
x = 450
Thus , the cost of 2 chairs = $Rs.(150\times 2)=Rs.300$
The cost of a table is Rs. 450
