Solution
Cotton plants are used to make cotton wool. Cotton plants are cultivated in fields. They are most commonly grown in areas with black soil and a warm temperature.
Cotton bolls are the fruit of cotton plants that are about the size of lemons.
The bolls burst open as they mature, revealing seeds coated in cotton fibres. Cotton is hand-picked from the cotton bolls.
Combing is used to separate the fibres from the seeds. Cotton ginning is the term for this process.
It can be done manually or by machinery.
Spinning is the process of creating yam from fibres. Cotton wool fibres are twisted and dragged out of a mass. The fibres are brought together to produce yarn in this way.
A simple device used for spinning is a hand spindle called Takli and Charkha.
