We know that probability of picking a chocolate flavoured ice-cream will be $\frac{Number of favourable outcomes ( chocolate flavoured icecreams)}{Total number of ice-creams}$

Let the number of chocolate flavoured ice-creams be $x$ .

= $\frac{x}{48}$ = $\frac{2}{3}$

Solving for $x$ we get 32 .

It implies that there are 32 chocolate flavoured ice-cream out of 48

Hence number of Vanilla flavoured ice-creams on the table are:
= 48 - 32
= 16
