Aligning both the numbers according to Place value (starting from the right):

For ones place, we can't subtract 6 ones from 2 ones, as 6 > 2. Thus, we borrow 1 tens from the 5.

1 tens = 10 ones.
Now, at the ones place, we first add 10+2=12 ones. Subtracting 6 from 12 , we get 6.

Now,for Tens place, we are left with 4 . Again, we can't subtract 6 tens from 4 tens, as 6 > 4. Thus, we borrow 1 hundred from the 9.
Subtracting 6 tens from 14 tens, we get 8 tens.

Now, for hundreds place,we are left with 8. 84=4 hundreds.

Now, for thousands place,4 is left. 43=1 thousands.

Thus, the answer is 1486.
