Solution

The correct option is C 56

Consider unit digits, units digit of (A + 5) = 3 which means there should be a carry over. Here, A is a number between 0 to 9.

We know that 8 + 5 = 13, so A could be equal to 8.

Consider tens digits,
units digit of [1 (carryover) + 1 + A] = 0

If A = 8, then 1(carry over) + 8 + 1 = 10. This 1 is now carried over

Hundreds digits, 6 + 1 + 1(carry over) = 8

6 1 8

+1 8 5

______

8 0 3

Hence, A = 8
The two digit number = 4A = 48
Sum of the number and 'A' = 48 + 8 = 56.
