Step 1:
Keep variables on one side and constants on the other.

4x - 1.6 = 6x + 6 + 4.4
4x - 1.6 = 6x + 10.4

Adding 1.6 on both sides
4x = 6x + 12
Adding -6x on both sides
-6x + 4x = -6x + 6x + 12
-2x = 12

Solve for x

Dividing both sides by -2
