Five features of the Eastern Himalayas are
1. They are situated between Central Nepal and Myanmar.
2. They contain some of the highest peaks in the world, including Everest and Kanchenjunga.
3. They are also rich in animal species. Rare animals like snow leopards, Asian elephants and one horned rhinos are found in the Eastern Himalayas or its foothills.
4. The climate of Eastern Himalaya is characterized by cool summer and chilly winter. The average annual temperature is 20C and average annual rainfall is 500mm.
5. Alpine, subalpine and broadleaf forests are found in the Eastern Himalayas.
