The correct option is B 7:2
Given- we have 50 g ice 0C and 40 g water 60C
we know latent Heat of ice to convert into water L=80cal/g
and specific Heat capacity of water =1cal/g
Let x gram of ice get converts into water. if there is some ice left in the System then the temperature of the system must be equal to zero. 0C .
Heat lost By 40 g water = Heat used in melting x gram of ice
40×1×60=x×80x=30 g
Ice finally= 40+30 g=70 g Water lift =5030 g=20 g Ratio of ice to water =70:20=7:2
