Given,
Volume of water=500l,
Acceleration due to gravity, g=10ms2,
Density of water =1kglitre1,
Height h1=6m
Height h2=15m

Let, the mass of water be m
Mass of water, m= Volume of water×density of water=500×1=500kg
Change in PE =mg(h2h1)=500×10×(156)=4.5×104J
Therefore, the increase in potential energy will be 4.5×104J.
