51. Distinguish between organic acids and mineral acids. Give examples.
Mineral Acid | Organic Acid |
Mineral acid are those acids which are synthesized from the minerals which are obtained from the earth's crust. | Organic acid are those acids which are obtained from the plants and some from animals also. |
Generally mineral acid are known as strong acids. | Generally organic acids are known as weak acids. |
Due to their strong acid nature, they are used in most chemical reactions. | Due to their weak acidic nature, they are not much used in chemical reactions. |
Mineral acids are highly corrosive in nature. So, they damaged skin tissues. | Organic acid are slightly corrosive. So, they can barely cause any damage to skin cells. |
