58*(-34)-58*65-58

Open in App
Solution

Dear student,
to solve this, first take all the 58 outside.
58×(-34 - 65 - 1)
Now add the terms in bracket. As all of them are negative they add up
=58×(-100)
=-5800 is the answer.

Alternate way:
In arithmetics -multiplication has higher preference than addition. There fore first complete all the multiplication in the problem and then do the addition.
(58×-34)-(58×65)-58
=(-1972)-(3770)-58
=-5800

You can use any of the ways. also remember that a negative number multiplied by another gives positive number and a negative number multiplied by a positive number gives a negative number. Thank you.
