Solution

The correct option is C Trigeminal
There are 10 pairs of cranial nerves in a frog. They extend from the lateral surfaces of the brain to the parts of the body. The fifth cranial nerve is trigeminal, which is a somatic sensory nerve. Its origin is from the medulla and bears a Gasserian ganglion. It receives impulses from the skin of the snout. It has ophthalmic, maxillary and mandibular nerve which receives impulses from the skin of upper jaw, supplies muscles of the upper jaw and supplies the muscles of lower jaw respectively.
